Effortless Comparison to Expected Results

Compare underlying data and layout of your visualisations to expected results
Data

Download data in crosstab, summary or full-data format from your Tableau Server with a click and import into Kinesis CI for your ‘Assert Data Equals’ tasks.

You can keep your underlying data in check and be in the know of any unexpected changes.

The direct download from Tableau makes it easy to update your tests in case your underlying data is updated.

Layout

Download images of your dashboards and worksheets from your Tableau Server with a click and import into Kinesis CI for your ‘Assert Image Equals’ tasks.

You can easily ensure the layout and format of your visualisations remain in line with your expectations .

The direct download from Tableau makes it easy to update your tests in case your underlying data is updated.

Data Validation from your Underlying Database

Compare data directly from your underlying database to your Dashboards
Assert SQL Equals

Improved Assert SQL Equals Task enables you to query your database and compare data directly from your database to what is displayed on your Tableau workbook.

It can be combined with any other Kinesis CI task, such as Filters or Parameters to give you a better understanding if the underlying data is correctly displayed on your Tableau Server.

Data Validation based on Rules You Set

Test your data on your Dashboards with setting up specific validation rules
Assert Data Rules

The new Assert Data Rules task enables you to set up specific data rules to validate the data on your Tableau dashboards and worksheets.

It can be combined with any other Kinesis CI task, such as Filters or Parameters to give you a better understanding if the correct data is displayed on your Tableau Server and if your calculations, settings, filters or parameters function the way you expect.

Flexible set-up of Tableau Server connection in Context Variables

Set up or change your Tableau Server connection details in seconds
Tableau Server Connection

Setting up your Tableau Server connection details got a lot easier simplifying all tasks with fewer properties to fill-in.

With Context Variables you can keep the flexibility and change your Tableau connection details by changing the context only as you promote your work from one environment to another or your login details change.

Performance Testing for Tableau Dashboards

Supporting Even more Database Integrations

Amazon Redshift is now integrated in Kinesis CI

Integration with Amazon Redshift is also supported now, in addition to Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server, enabling you to work with even more databases.
